Portrait of Clotilde French Bookstore holding books in her hands

Bonjour!

My name is Clotilde, and I’m passionate about French literature and love words.

Through my French bookstore, I share books that inspire, provoke thought, and take readers on a journey. My goal is to create a place where every reader can find a book that speaks to them.

On my website, you’ll find a selection of French books designed for all ages and reading levels.

From picture books for young children to novels for experienced readers, everyone can progress at their own pace and find books suited to their level.

I offer stories to help you learn, improve, and above all, enjoy reading in French—whether you’re a beginner, bilingual, or a literature enthusiast. You’ll also find recommendations, new releases, and my personal favorites to help readers of all ages discover the French language and culture.

I can be your Personal "Book Whisperer": Feeling lost? Just ask! Tell me your interests, and I'll suggest some amazing French reads you can dive into right away.

Let's unlock the world of French books together!

The Farels seem to have it all: Jean is a celebrated political journalist, Claire is known for her feminist activism, and their son Alexandre studies at a prestigious American university. But a rape accusation shatters their carefully built world. This powerful novel explores the violence of contemporary society, the fragility of privilege, and the terrifying spiral that can upend a life.
