My name is Clotilde, and I’m passionate about French literature and love words.

Through my French bookstore, I share books that inspire, provoke thought, and take readers on a journey. My goal is to create a place where every reader can find a book that speaks to them.

A small village in central France, surrounded by fields, shielded by walls of forest and a few isolated farms, is home to a factory: a chicken slaughterhouse where nearly all the residents work. Nearly all, that is, except Romain, the outsider, the handyman, afflicted with a cleft lip that has earned him the nickname "Rabbit." Romain, as adept in the trees where he loves to build treehouses as he is with his feet in the river where he fishes, far from the world, far from the village that has always kept him at a distance and exerts a silent violence against him. Since his earliest childhood, the blond, dyslexic giant has been in love with Solène, the current mayor of the village. So when she disappears, unwittingly entangled in a dark story of illegal waste dumping, it is Romain's sun that suddenly goes out. All that remains is revenge.
